Accounting Process Project Manager / Denver, CO
A day in the life
The FAST (Financial Applications & Services Team) is looking for an Accounting Process Project Manager to join us in our Denver, CO office. This person will work with Accounting stakeholders across the globe to solve complex business problems by thinking both inside and outside the box.
We are looking for someone who has strong data analytic skills, like's working with others and enjoys finding creative solutions to challenges. The role interfaces with our global teams and stakeholders to manage complex problems; whether that be implementing new technologies, redesigning business processes or managing change across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with the Accounting Team and our stakeholders to prioritize requirements, evaluate solutions, identify potential risks, define proposed solutions, and deliver on project goals
- Successfully engage in multiple, simultaneous initiatives, and report on progress towards delivery goals
- Develop detailed project charters and plans based on business needs and established scope.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, risks and issues proactively to deliver on the project scope, on-time and at a high quality
- Facilitate working sessions, employing LEAN/Kaizen principles to gather, document and obtain consensus on requirements.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision with equal ability to work collaboratively with the team
- Responsible for managing the complete life cycle of assigned global accounting projects, including scope development, planning, budget, execution, risk management, and closeout
- Create project deliverables including initiation documents, risk management logs, project plans, communication plans, deployment plans, test plans, training plans, support documents and status reports
- Manage project timelines, scope and risks throughout the projects, working with technical and business stakeholders to resolve issues and manage risk, escalating to leadership when necessary
- Lead project meetings, breakout sessions and provide executive/steering committee updates
- Connects the Dots: Instinct to ask relevant probing questions that get to the "why" behind business requests to achieve exceptional outcomes

Building blocks for success
Required:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
- Knowledge of Accounting Business Processes & Technology
- 2-4 years of Accounting and/or Project Management experience, leading large scale change
- Proficient using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Visio), Testing Software and Project Management Software. Previous experience using Smartsheet, qTest, Jira and/or ServiceNow all a plus.
- Ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects
- Good communication skills
- Ability to be detail oriented, however, be able to see the big picture, too
Hiring Salary Range of: $84,000 - $126,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate's location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
