The Accounts Payable Representative will support and manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable department. The main purpose of this position is to ensure that the company fulfills its obligations to suppliers and partners. This is a full-time remote job based in the United States.
What to do:
You will ensure that invoices are processed and paid on time and in accordance with company policies. You will review and process all vendor invoices through the company's ERP system (Oracle).
You must enter the correct G/L code on the invoice for payment and route for approval using Concur. You must combine purchase orders with supplier invoices; work with business partners to resolve disputes.
You will review sales tax on invoices from sellers in the United States and other countries. You will provide salespeople and those who work in the company with skills and diplomacy to help with problems and invoices, make the link between the department and the salespeople.
You will reconcile the statements of the vendors, identifying account differences; identify and implement corrective actions. You will communicate effectively with business partners, teams and management.
You will provide timely and accurate information to external and internal customers. What it takes to be successful:
You have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a member of an accounting team.
You have 2 years recent experience in A/P (over 200 invoices per week). You are familiar with Excel applications, g-suite and Oracle Cloud.
You have strong analytical and organizational skills with great attention to detail. You have excellent written communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
You must be deadline oriented, organized, and have problem solving skills. You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
You will be able to juggle multiple tasks at once and prioritize tasks by priority and urgency. You have an understanding of GAAP and/or financial statements and SOX controls.
