Full Job Description:

American Express travel-related roles require Analysts, Business Systems to perform business needs analysis, define business needs, and document new business requirements for company systems, including American Express' online travel platform. Review and evaluate key performance indicators for website updates, keep the platform in line with the recommendations given by the management team. Drives resolution of critical production issues across functional teams, and tracks and reports on website issues affecting platform performance. Increase productivity issues by focusing on impact, weight, and related data, helping managers make the right business decisions. Interact with the release manager of each technical partner to ensure defects are properly resolved. 
 
This position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related STEM field, with 5 years of successful experience in web-based applications, web design and data analysis. Experience will include a minimum of: 1 year experience with data visualization tools; 1 year of experience in the production of queues and assigning service tickets to support auditors; 1 year of experience identifying tools and processes to improve accessibility and efficiency for customers; 1 year of experience in root cause analysis, as well as web application development, support and testing, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT); and 1 year experience in C, DB2, Hibernate, Hive, Java, JBoss, Oracle, Rally, RDBMS, relational databases, ServiceNow, SQL and Teradata. Telecommuting is available up to 3 days a week.
