IT asset management (ITAM) is the collection of inventory, financial, and contract data to manage an IT asset throughout its lifecycle. ITAM is based on a rigorous process, and tools to automate manual processes. Capturing and integrating auto discovery/inventory, financial, and contractual data into a central repository for all IT assets enables functions to effectively manage vendors and a portfolio of software and hardware assets from requisition to withdrawal, thus monitoring the performance of the asset throughout its lifecycle.

WORK
● Design, develop, implement and document asset management systems, processes and tools.
● Identifies, organizes and maps the relationships between software, hardware, capabilities and other critical IT resources.
● Collects and interprets asset data and works with external teams and vendors to ensure data accuracy.
● Developed processes and procedures to implement ITAM.
● Supports software asset management including: name onboarding, vendor management, license renewal, audit support, and software asset management plans.
● Provides subject matter expertise and technical guidance for the design and implementation of ITAM solutions.
● Adheres to safety standards and ensures compliance.
● Manages the migration of assets, data, levels and relationships between them, ie software to hardware or hardware to software.
● Review purchase orders, assist with receipts and adjustments for property acquisition.
● Identifies asset types and creates new assets as needed.
● Help with product and product planning.
● Resource data collected, work with team members and vendors to ensure accuracy.
● Supports IT operations and delivery teams by providing oversight, guidance and project closure and asset maintenance services.
● Monitors the IT Asset Management (ITAM) database for accuracy and consistency of non-conformances.
● Participate in the collection of computer hardware and software in the United States
● Supports software asset management, including name onboarding, vendor management, license synchronization, audit support, and software asset management plans.
● Identifies opportunities for streamlining and increasing efficiency through continuous process improvement.
