REPORTING TO: Branch Operations Team Leader
DEPARTMENT: Member Services
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
SALARY RANGE: $48,000-$52,000 annually (starting, based on experience)
Position Objective
Leads, motivates, and develops staff to ensure the branch operations, service, and sales expectations are continuously met.
Responsibilities
1. Represents the credit union in a courteous and professional manner in all member interactions.
2. Manages the day-to-day branch operations by assigning work, assisting with complex transactions and sensitive member issues, problem solving; serves as a resource to answer questions, and explain policies and procedures.
3. Effectively leads, coaches, counsels, mentors, and develops branch team to increase efficiencies, enhance productivity, achieve goals, and prepare for advancement opportunities.
4. Manages the main cash vault; including maintaining vault security, processing teller and MSR cash transfers, verifying cash shipments, and end of day settlement.
5. Schedules branch staff to ensure adequate staffing levels for operations and member service.
6. Ensures branch cash, including ATM, remains at an adequate supply to service members and within prescribed limits; orders and/or ships currency when necessary.
7. Maintains records of night deposit transactions, mail transactions, member share draft ordering, returned mail and member name/address changes in accordance with record retention policy.
8. Ensures branch equipment is in working order; contacts appropriate area to fix or replace equipment, when necessary.
9. Processes loan applications for walk in members as needed.
10. Reorders negotiable instruments, stationary, and other supplies; when necessary.
11. Authorizes service fee refunds; when necessary.
12. Manages all personnel issues in conjunction with Branch Manager.
13. Opens new accounts as needed for walk in members, and verifies new accounts opened by MSRs, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
14. Ensures branch robbery procedures are current, Member Service security system is operable, and employees are properly trained on how to respond in the event of robbery.
15. Remains current on IRA products, limits, and regulations; attends seminars when required.
16. Assists tellers and MSRs with balancing; researches cash and check differences as necessary.
17. Works in conjunction with Marketing/Business Development to coordinate branch activities and promotions.
18. Provides accurate information to members regarding account information, Hershey FCU products and services, alternative investments, and credit union policy.
19. Actively seeks solutions to member concerns in a professional and diplomatic manner, and escalates accordingly.
20. Effectively communicates all relevant branch issues and updates with Branch Manager.
21. Maintains a comprehensive and current knowledge of all Hershey FCU products and services. Explain, promote, and refer relevant products to meet the financial needs of each member.
22. Performs all teller and MSR duties as necessary.
23. Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of all related policies, procedures, rules, and regulations applicable for the position, and keeps abreast of any changes.
24. Prevents controllable losses by strict adherence to security, compliance, and fraud & prevention policies and procedures.
25. Adheres to all policies and procedures described in the Employee Handbook.
26. Completes annual mandatory compliance and other trainings.
27. Travels to other locations as needed.
28. Assists with all other duties as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year

- Banking: 2 years (Required)
