The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years accounting experience with the ability to quickly grasp new methods and processes. You must be able to work independently in a firm deadline environment. Experience in quarterly/annual payroll reporting, and knowledge of prevailing wages is a plus. AIA billing or Construction experience in a payroll capacity is required. If YOU are the right candidate, WE WILL TRAIN!
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, support in the following areas:
- Accounts Receivable: AIA progress billing, managing lien releases, intercompany tie outs.
- Accounts Payable: Work within a PO System of checks and balances with job costing; Verify balances due against releases provided to expedite billing.
- Payroll entry and weekly processing for 100+ employees
- Quarterly and Annual Payroll Reports - 940/941, SUTA, Fuel Rebate Filing
- Certified Payroll/Davis Bacon - Prevailing Wage Calculations
- Lien Releases, Mechanic’s Liens, Collections
- W-2’s
- 1099’s
- Job Costing/Fuel Usage Maintenance/Company Data Management
- General Ledger Reviews and assist in financial statement preparation
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years construction or general accounting experience. Minimum 2 year degree required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Systems; advanced Excel skills
- Strong 10-key and data entry experience
- Experience in construction software a plus
- Professional communication
- Pass pre-employment drug screening & background check
