Opportunity:
By promoting a new and faster Netflix culture, help Netflix achieve its social climate goals to reduce our emissions by 2030 and make a difference across the streaming value chain (more information in the ESG report here). Functions:
Reporting to the Netflix Sustainability & Operations team, brought key figures and expertise to:
Look at supply and production
Create direct deliverables from cost-effective partners
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the company's manufacturing operations are aligned with leadership practices (e.g. low carbon living practices and experiences)
Call suppliers in Section 3 for equipment to reduce emissions
Help maintain corporate knowledge of best practices regarding carbon accounting, including implementation
The digital sector focuses on our carbon footprint, including new business areas such as sports and media, for example:
Footprint of the benefits of developing digital projects (such as VFX and virtual production) across different vendors, and compared to traditional shooting techniques.
Contribute to the efforts of scientists and NGOs to accurately measure the carbon footprint of recommendations, incl. sports and media
Using the latest life cycle assessment data to keep Open Connect's carbon footprint estimates up to date
