The Associate Cybersecurity Engineer supports the cybersecurity roadmap, and contributes to the delivery of secure systems, cyber solutions, cyber applications, technical projects and regulatory and risk requirements. This includes cybersecurity framework, engineering new technologies, program optimization, vulnerability remediation, metrics reporting, performance analysis and mitigation of operational risk in a high velocity culture. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Responsibilities

• Interprets technology direction and analyze Cybersecurity systems by applying professional systems knowledge/studies, specialized security training and advanced analytical techniques. Designs new systems according to architecture guidelines and performs continuous integration

• Performs research and tests on scanning tools and develops a comparison study using security systems professional knowledge and systems analysis techniques. Tests defense technologies prior to deployment to determine if feasible for integration

• Engineer Cybersecurity and data analytics solutions, including conducting vendor technology reviews

• Supports current and future state architectural models to assess impact across assigned Cybersecurity technology systems. Analyzes Cybersecurity technology capabilities and specifications to identify enhancement opportunities by applying professional systems knowledge/studies, specialized security training and advanced analytical techniques

• Performs ongoing assessment of team and program activities to identify opportunities for improvement

• Ensures compliance to audit, regulatory and legal requirements

• Point of contact for escalation of engineering, security solutions and/or advanced analytics tools. Builds and maintains effective relationships with peers and internal business partners

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

• Bachelors – Computer Science or related

• In lieu of education 6 Continuous Months of Relevant Discover Engineering Training

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $59,500.00 to $99,900.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
