Tesla Gigafactory Nevada is looking for a Quality Operations Manager - HV Battery Pack and Insulation to lead, mentor and coordinate quality supervisors and technicians within the Gigafactory Nevada - vehicle line - pack area.
In this role, you will promote collaboration and the achievement of business goals by enabling the Quality team to support and solve problems, effective planning, training and education of employees, developing existing employees up. what to do
Build a strong and motivated performance team that can consistently deliver high performance
Practice problem solving with a focus on first-time quality products
Ensure adequate coverage of qualified and trained personnel to support quality and all production objectives in all Gigafactory manufacturing operations.
Maintain a culture that promotes safety and quality through communication, conduct and accountability
Support the Quality Operations team to work with Engineering to improve product quality, product quality and line productivity.
Identify opportunities to qualify products and processes effectively and efficiently, seeking constant improvement.
Supports problem solving, including root cause analysis and continuous learning and improvement environment
Develop a supervisor for individual professional development
Ensure quality operations teams use standardized services and consistent work practices across shifts and regions
· Promotes a culture that promotes safety and quality through communication, practice and accountability. Promote your team by awarding credits and spark coins
Immerse yourself in the production / engineering / maintenance / safety / production control / NPI team to deliver world-class customer service.
Support quality control and testing to prevent leakage of suspect material. Support activities to ensure the stability of the quality system and its control by implementing quality controls for suspicious items (Manage physical and virtual items)
· Provide effective resources and tools to improve the quality of the end and organization. Provide adequate resources and space to conduct quality research and non-stop waste disposal.
· Focus on the development of all team members by getting to know them and understanding their skills and abilities. Use the skills matrix you defined to analyze and focus on areas that need improvement.
What to bring
3+ years of experience managing a team of people in a high productivity environment
BS or MS in business or technical discipline and/or evidence of specialized experience
· Demonstrated ability to support the identification, processing and resolution of sound issues
Ability to work on and develop effective performance metrics
· Ability to develop motivation and dynamism of team members even in difficult situations
Able to work well under intense pressure while managing competing demands and deadlines
Communicate effectively using excellent written and verbal skills
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in common MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Willingness to make a difference in the world and promote sustainability
