Full job description
Schneider Electric is searching for an Application Engineer specializing in Building Automation to make an impact within our organization.
This position will sit within our Digital Buildings organization based in Dallas. In this role you will have the opportunity to develop and refine your technical and leadership skills as you gain and apply your knowledge with the goal of simultaneously advancing your personal brand and the Schneider Electric brand in the marketplace.
This Application Engineer is independent and decisive. They are highly skilled and an expert building automation system programmer. They are passionate about driving innovation in the field of building automation. They are Impact Makers at Schneider Electric!
As an Application Engineer, a typical day for you might include:
- Working as part of a team that is responsible for the programming, start-up, troubleshooting and commissioning of DDC building automation systems.
- Configuring, programming, and customizing control systems to meet project-specific needs.
- Creation of software programs and front-end graphics.
- Commissioning on projects.
- Analyzing problems and resolving issues to ensure the complete system functions properly.
- Performing system diagnostics and recommend enhancements to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Coordinating customer training and complete closeout documents.
- Providing technical support and direction to end-users and employees when applicable.
This may be the next step in your career journey if you have:
- Expertise in Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric Ecostruxure Building operation system, Siemens Building automation system or Johnson Controls systems.
- Experience providing high quality programming per specifications, standards, budgets, and schedules.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, contractors, engineers, and fellow team members.
