Summary of Jobs and Careers
United Airlines' Global Sourcing team is responsible for sourcing products and services and developing/managing relationships with third-party suppliers with the goal of reducing total cost and risk in the market while improving quality, service and technology. The primary role of the Expert Specialist within United Airlines' India Knowledge Center (IKC) is to provide end-to-end support to the United States' group managers, leading the acquisition strategy for the designated group. This position will focus on providing support in one or more of the following categories for aviation services: IT infrastructure, IT and non-IT professional services, office services, aircraft leasing, aircraft maintenance , airport planning, cargo handling, etc. The type of support will include cost analysis, procurement analysis, tender development and management, negotiation and selection of vendors, contract/SOW redlining, etc. with the aim of understanding total cost of ownership (TCO) costs and improving system performance. Develop knowledge and skills in the assigned budget; Save money by collaborating with different teams and department managers while ensuring employee needs are met
Supports the production and management of Request for Proposals (RFP) which includes detailed external market analysis, internal model analysis, RFP design and development, process planning and management, RFP analysis using Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) ), a salesperson. analytical dashboards, ongoing collaboration and improvement
communication with all parties responsible for the vendor selection process
Redline and negotiate contracts by working with United Legal, Global Sourcing Managers and other related departments.
Manage business relationships with key internal and external vendors, including regular contract updates, demand/volume changes, contract updates, and sharing end-user feedback.
Participate in vendor management activities that may include monitoring performance against contracts (compliance) and resolving any barriers or issues.

Eligibility
Bachelor's degree (finance, engineering, economics or other business field)
4+ years of experience in sales/marketing, vendor management or finance
Highly observant with excellent problem solving skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Works well in high places, works well
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Must be able to speak English fluently (written and spoken)
Organized, thorough, efficient and professional
