As a Data Center Engineer (CxE), you will be part of a team of highly skilled developers solving interesting and challenging problems in building and - support the services of Amazon's data center. The Amazon Commissioning (ACx) team understands, evaluates, sets, and manages to build quality prospects according to engineering plans to meet customer requirements.
CxE is responsible for supporting suppliers, contractors and other parties involved in ordering and providing various processes such as:
-Medium and low voltage power systems
- Producers
-UPS
-HVAC (Air Conditioning Units / Heat Exchangers / VFDs)
- Cold water system
Building Management System (BMS)
- Energy Efficiency Monitoring System (EPMS)
-Test and balance
- Electric and hydronic systems
Physical requirements

Main Functions
Commissioning Engineers (CxE) provide testing and technical support of the electrical and infrastructure infrastructure of AWS data centers. CxEs review design documents, conduct Factory Tests (FWT), and manage third-party vendors in pre-construction, in-service, and integrated on-site process inspections. They take the success of their work by diving deep into solving technical problems and having a passion for taking action to meet deadlines and flexible site planning. Additionally, CxE communicates lessons learned and continues to collaborate on program improvements.
The CxE will provide a multidisciplinary contribution to planning, development of test scripts, design and planning of projects. In addition, the CxE will be required to review equipment compliance records, conduct facility testing (FWT), perform system testing and process integration. During the project, the CxE will continue to monitor activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality and safety requirements. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for providing comprehensive weekly reports on all ongoing work situations and lessons learned to continually improve the quality of our program. This position will involve covering a wide range of in-flight duties and power schedules.
