Effectively review, evaluate and finalize contract financial services of contracts and sales notes for ATL talent working domestically and internationally. This includes payment for option/license purchase, script acquisition, termination, development material, first-time writers' houses, preparation/production/release process for comedy and multi-camera sitcoms, one-hour drama series, and ending with programming process. (ATL Talent includes: Actors, Writers, Producers, Non-writers, Consultants, Directors, Producers and Casting Directors)
Prepare payment authorizations and payment systems for ATL talent to ensure timely and accurate payments from Netflix Studios, the Prep/Wrap Accounting Team and/or the accounting reporting team. Including but not limited to lump sum payments, weekly salaries, bonuses, royalties and more. We provide guidance on PH&W rates for applicable guilds (where applicable). In addition, discussions with our tax team to highlight potential problems with loan companies, payment companies, workplaces, manufacturing facilities, etc.
Track ATL contract timelines from development through revisions, including subsequent timelines, license and license options, and hold time. We prepare and publish relevant notices, including extension notices, exercise of options and return to work. We create and distribute menus to coordinate the upcoming season's deadlines, track writers' room commitments, pay for SAG, the WGA 67 section, and the series' deadline. Prepare DGA and DGC Director memos for execution and ensure directors are paid correctly and on time (including overtime, overtime, etc.)
Create and manage WGA newsletters and work closely with our script coordinators, in-house creative and legal teams for episodic script stories and delivery status necessary to ensure timely payments.
Create and manage the development and collection of processes for our assigned projects, the maintenance of data controllers and the transfer of data for several functional groups and to process / submit and maintain all payment requests and support and manage documents based on the cloud.
Liaise with internal and external production teams regarding delivery of relevant documents to ensure our team members are notified and paid on time.
Act as an internal/external point of contact for questions related to payment and deadlines
Periodically prepare cost analysis positions for different groups
Ensure ATL payment initiation documents are received, complete and accurate
Remain flexible and open to performing other duties as needed, even outside of your area of expertise.
