CUSTOMER EXECUTIVE – RETAIL SALES - FLEXIBLE LOCATION

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is accountable for managing the Private Label Portfolio across several customers, including ADUSA, Topco, AWG, Ingles, and Giant Eagle.

  • Develops, implements and executes sales and distribution plans at the account level.
  • Collaborates with their Customer Business Manager and Corp. support team to pursue private label opportunities aligned with those of the operating units.
  • Identifies, communicates and provides recommendations around threats to our current Private Label business.
  • Is responsible for continuing to develop and enhance their competencies through participation in learning and development workshops. These include, but are not limited to training available at the local, regional and national meetings intended to improve selling techniques, knowledge of the customer and company, and other business practice.
  • Conducts routine discussions with the customer reviewing efficiencies & recommending new tactics that are mutually beneficial in delivering profitable sales.
  • Works effectively with our Demand Planning team to ensure projections are accurate, particularly around new item launches &/or discontinuations.
  • Assists the development of new private brand products by working with marketing, R&D, packaging, logistics, and operations.
  • Works closely with retail customers and their packaging designers to develop private brand graphics to their specs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 1+ year of sales / marketing / sales strategy experience
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply business analytics
  • Pattern of initiative
  • Proven problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of complex projects
  • Well-developed interpersonal, organizational skills and analytical skills
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Travel required: 20%
  • Ability to take opportunities from conception to execution
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident or have the authorization to work in the United States

LOCATION: Flexible location, with a preference to be based near one of our sales offices.

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel may be necessary 20% of the time.

 

 

The base pay range is $71,000 to $111,000 per year; however, actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
