What Do We Do
Directly and through our subsidiaries, Omnicare provides a broad range of pharmacy-related services to long-term care facilities and other customers in the healthcare environment. While aged care has long been an Omnicare specialty, we also serve other specific populations.
Overview: Answer all incoming phone calls from patients, customers and responsible parties as part of a customer service queue. Join and route calls appropriately. Liaise with residents, patients, facilities and family members regarding charges, grievances and collections activities. Make outgoing calls as needed. Examine patient statements for accuracy and accuracy following the client's request by email, telephone, fax, or written correspondence. Maintain accurate and complete records of patient billing/communication activity across all accounts. Collaborate and collaborate with other internal and external departments to resolve issues. Participate in projects and/or meetings as designated by management. Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA. Demonstrate/model the company's core values and customer service behaviors in interactions with all customers (internal and external). Complies with departmental and pharmaceutical policies regarding safety, attendance and dress code. Overtime, holidays and weekends may be required and/or expected. Other functions that can be assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the healthcare sector.
- 2+ years working experience in an office/commercial environment.
- Experience in handling third party claims with prescription
- More than 2 years of customer service experience in call centers or over the phone.
- Basic knowledge of insurance procedures.
- Efficient multitasking.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and listening skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of computers and typing.
Education
- Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent.
