Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of high-quality software solutions using Java.

• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to define project requirements and timelines.

• Ensure coding standards best practices and architectural guidelines are followed.

• Mentor junior developers providing guidance and support to foster skill development and growth.

• Conduct code reviews to ensure the quality and maintainability of code.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.

• Stay abreast of the latest developments in Java and related technologies.

• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.

• Ensure security and data protection measures are implemented.

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle focusing on coding and debugging.

• Write clean testable code that is easy to understand and maintain.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.

• Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Lead or similar role with a focus on Java programming.

• Strong understanding of Java and its ecosystems.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment.

• Familiarity with continuous integration.

• Ability to guide and mentor team members.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Commitment to achieving project goals and deadlines.

- A passion for technology and continuous learning.- Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced evolving environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in leading data modernization initiatives particularly in the industrial manufacturing domain.

• Strong understanding of production planning and control processes in a manufacturing environment.

• Expertise in data analysis database management and data processing technologies.

• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members.

• A commitment to staying informed on the latest industry trends and technologies.

• A problem-solving mindset with the ability to tackle challenges creatively and effectively

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 04/30/2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $[120,000-$135,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
