The role of Operations Analysis (OA) is to support this function by providing strategic insight by understanding first-line business processes, and then applying data and analysis to drive continuous improvement efforts. Data has changed how Delta operates. The job of a data engineer is to harness the power of data by making it accessible, available, and organized for reporting and analysis. The data engineering team within Delta's Operations Analysis and Performance (OAP) department is responsible for: organizing single source data tables for use by analytical teams, generating and distributing automated reports in a modular and scalable manner, leading efforts for change. and data and reporting tools, serving as a center of expertise for effective data processing and management.
Functions:
· Find and extract data from various sources for use in research, models and project development. Cleanse and organize data streams by analyzing data sources and collaborating with other business units to identify the best data sources, aggregating insights into actionable levels.
Knowledge of data environments and collaboration to improve reporting and automated analysis in support of division managers and business units.
· Use emerging technologies and carefully identify effective and efficient ways to communicate data and research to meet the needs of the department.
Maintenance process support and project management input for each business unit and divisional strategy
Train and guide other team members in different areas and skills
Establish safety practices in all work processes and procedures
Have a team-first attitude and the success of our team and business partners as a priority
