DCI Job Requirement for:
Data Engineer
Location: Washington, D.C.
Job Description:
Serves as a Software Production and Data Engineer
Build, operate, and maintain high-performance services for platforms, and products
Write code to build and maintain enterprise data integration pipelines
Improve existing systems and processes
Work closely with engineers to advocate and participate in systems design
Diagnose, resolve, and prevent production issues
Handle support and operations of software, including:
- monitoring and alerting
- configuration management
- upgrades
Rollout new products at customer deployments
Perform migrations to the latest infrastructure types
Debug, improve, and optimize services and infrastructure
Reduce manual operations and automate processes, runbooks, and/or workflows
Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science / Engineering (or related career field)
3+ years of experience with the following:
- Software Production Engineering
- Data Engineering
Proficiency with the following:
- Amazon Web Services and on-premises servers
- Python
- Java
- Bash
- Puppet
- Typescript/Java Script
Experience with the following:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Prometheus and Grafana.
- Oracle, Postgres, Cassandra, and Elasticsearch
DoD 8570 IAT Level 1 Certification (Sec+, CISSP, etc.).
DoD 8570 Computing Environment Certification
- (Linux+, Redhat Certified System Administrator, COMPTIA Server+)
Active DoD Top-Secret Clearance with CI Polygraph

Salary: $150,000-$200,000
