The DSE product team is at the forefront of these innovations and aims to seamlessly enhance the Netflix member experience across our media services and new verticals across TV, mobile and web by uncovering insights and discovering, incubating and -help product developers leveraging data, analysis, testing. and model.
We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our team and lead a team focused on improving our machine learning models, UX/design and testing processes. You will support a team of talented data scientists, work closely with our engineering partners and product managers, and lead algorithms and UX/differential innovations that improve our team's experience on Netflix.
In this role, you will identify opportunities and direct team resources to the highest impact areas in the product space, foster strong relationships with stakeholders, and collaborate effectively to bring projects to life. What to do:
Recruit and mentor top data science, analytics and visualization engineers and help guide them in their career development.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders to shape the vision for the space, whether that's helping determine product plans or defining new metrics. Create a collaborative culture that fosters collaboration and innovation within your team and across the organization.
Develop test and measurement methods to increase the speed of investment and support decision making. Promote ownership and accountability by ensuring that the team produces reliable, high-quality results that influence decisions and the direction of the team's experience.
About you:
You have a deep technical background in applied data science, covering some or all of the following: statistics, experiments, machine learning, causal methods and behavioral analysis. You most likely have an MS or PhD in a quantitative field such as mathematics, computer science, statistics, intelligence, machine learning, physics, performance analysis, etc.
You have experience and proven success in leading and building a team of high-quality data advocates with diverse technical capabilities. You have an impact and have a positive impact on the business by creating a road map and vision for new and existing areas. You are well versed in working in a complex, functional or business environment where collaboration and integration with other team members across multiple disciplines is critical to your team's success. You have exceptional communication skills, especially when interacting with engineering and buyers to improve impact and strategic planning. A successful candidate for this role can develop and adapt their communication based on the audience and their needs.
