Design plays a big role at Indiahikes. From our website and social media to marketing materials, merchandise, and visual branding, there's a mountain of design work at Indiahikes. We are looking for someone who can shape the visual identity of Indiahikes and direct the future of design.
The Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Design Director to join our team and lead the charge in elevating our brand image. You will be responsible for developing and executing a cohesive design strategy across all touchpoints, from our website and social media presence to our marketing materials and offline experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive brand design strategy that strengthens brand recognition and resonates with our target audience.
- Oversee all aspects of visual design, including logo usage, brand elements, typography, colour palettes, and imagery.
- Lead other designers in creating high-quality visuals for various mediums, including websites, social media platforms, brochures, email marketing campaigns, infographics, maps, and merchandise.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure brand consistency across all channels.
- Stay informed about design trends and best practices, and implement innovative approaches to enhance the user experience.
- Manage design projects from conception to completion, adhering to deadlines and budgets.
- Foster a creative and collaborative work environment within the design team.
- Represent the design department in meetings with stakeholders and vendors.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Design Director or similar senior design leadership role.
- A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills, with a focus on brand identity and user experience design.
- Experience in designing for both digital and print mediums.
- In-depth knowledge of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- The ability to manage and motivate a design team.
- A passion for trekking and the outdoors is a plus.
Salary starts at 10 L per annum. This is a full-time position, based in Bangalore.
