The AppleCare Business Insight, Operations and Systems team is a powerful data science organization that provides insights to improve the business owner experience and to drive continuous product and process improvement. This is an opportunity to be part of a team of researchers dedicated to providing insight to our engineering and project teams to help drive production and design decisions. The service offers the opportunity to make real changes to Apple's customer experience.
2+ years of industry experience in research/data analysis roles. Highly analytical, detail-oriented and passionate about turning data sources into actionable insights.
Advanced proficiency in Snowflake SQL
Strong experience with Tableau, including deploying and maintaining large dashboards
Expertise in Python
Experience working with big data pipelines (e.g. Spark, Hive, etc.)
Ability to communicate broadly across the organization and cross-functional teams, promote collaboration and exchange of ideas

This role is for a Data Scientist within the Operations & Research degree. The purpose of this work is:
• Using service analysis data for Mac and audio products
• Analyze production data as it relates to field quality
• Development of machine learning models for use in hardware analysis
The insights gained from this data help engineers and project teams continuously improve product quality. Special attention will be paid to identify opportunities for identifying trends and anomalies as well as in-depth research.
Services include:
• Collaborate with project engineers and project teams to identify data analysis issues and opportunities
• Creation and development of dashboards using SQL, Tableau and Python
• Development of data pipelines
• Ensure data consistency and accuracy across assets with careful attention to detail
• Discover valuable and actionable insights from big data, interpret it and communicate it to different audiences on a regular basis
• Develop algorithms for automated processes to clean, analyze and derive models from large datasets spanning diverse sources.
• Bring planning and forecasting to issues of uncertainty through project scoping and planning
