A digital compliance engineer is a member of the digital compliance team. This position will focus on all aspects of security risk management, privacy, and other corporate or regulatory compliance that affects Costco Wholesale's digital assets. In addition, the role will be responsible for working with all parties within Costco's global payment channels to ensure that overall security policies, particularly PCI and SOX, are in place condition and function. This compliance engineer will work closely with the digital team, digital leaders, and IS security teams to develop and manage robust security, risk and compliance programs. This role requires a combination of broad, business and technical skills with strong people management skills, as well as the ability to motivate and influence decisions regarding security and business risk management. As such, the position works closely with key global business units, such as IT, legal, research and senior management, which require the ability to address business needs and security risks.

● Optimizing team performance and high performance through advanced technology management.
● Uses subject matter expertise to support enterprise source control and source change control processes.
● Presents proposals and technical solutions to executives, management and other audiences to gain approval and/or project approval.
● Provides leadership/mentoring to team members, performs development tasks, creates appropriate documentation, promotes operational efficiency and technical growth within the team, and supports model releases.
● Provides technical guidance on application implementation, project planning and documentation requirements, implementation of tools, database query language and programming language.
● He works as an expert on governance and compliance issues for digital standards and business transactions within IS security and compliance.
