We are seeking an exceptional, data-driven leader who excels in business acumen to join our team as the Director of Business Analytics. This key leadership position requires a unique blend of business acumen and analytical ability to lead a team of business analysts across multiple domains, including product, consumer, retail, and supply chain analytics. The primary focus of this role is to harness the power of data analytics to drive sales growth, optimize operations, and enhance profitability. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of business operations, analytical thinking, and a relentless drive to leverage data for informed decision making and business driving outcome.
Responsibilities:
- Business Acumen:
- Develop a deep understanding of HBI’s business strategies, objectives, and competitive landscape
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, product, finance, and supply chain to utilize data-driven analytics in support of decision making that drive business outcomes, results, and value
- Harness your business acumen to identify critical business challenges and growth opportunities, proactively using analytics to propose inventive solutions that drive growth, efficiency, cash generation, and profitability
- Team Leadership:
- Cultivate a culture of business-focused analytics that drive business outcomes and business value
- Develop and coach a high-performing team of business analysts to excel and achieve measurable results characterized by collaboration, innovation, and excellence
- Provide strategic direction and set clear goals for the business analytics team to achieve objectives and deliver business value
- Oversee business analytics initiatives and ensure the delivery of actionable analytics that improve decision-making
- Analytics Strategy:
- Partner with analytics leadership to enrich and execute our analytics strategy that aligns with HBI’s objectives and ensure that analytics empower smart, forward-looking decisions
- Identify key performance indicators and metrics to track and measure the success of business analytics initiatives
- Communication and Data Storytelling:
- Effectively translate analytical findings into actionable, business-focused actions
- Effectively communicate decision support narratives to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Develop and coach the business analytics team in effective communication and data storytelling
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Engineering, Statistics, or Analytics; Master's degree preferred
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant business experience with a track record of delivering actionable analytics and business results
- A minimum of 5 years of leadership and effective team management
- A minimum of 14 years of relevant business experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements
- Exceptional business acumen with a results-oriented mindset and steadfast commitment to driving business impact with analytics
- Track record of impactful data storytelling and influencing decision-makers
- Exceptional problem-solving skills coupled with a keen analytical mindset
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques
- Previous experience in the consumer goods, apparel, or retail industry is a valuable asset
