Summary:
The Director, Events Marketing is responsible for managing events marketing team members and events marketing platforms for the high-impact delivery if in-person and virtual events covering a variety of education and training topics, in addition to networking among sales partners, supplier partners and ScanSource colleagues.
Essential Job Duties:
- Train, educate, coach and develop event team members.
- Act as liaison between Marketing, Sales, Supplier Services.
- Partner closely with go-to-market, sales, corporate communications, and digital teams to deploy a consistent brand experience through events.
- Develop and deploy best practices for delivering world-class customer experiences.
- Identify improvement areas in our processes and develop action plans to close any gaps.
- Leverage strategic partnerships and media relationships to ensure marketing objectives are met.
- Evaluate new vendors that promote efficiency, cost management, and scalability.
- Responsible for overall budgeting for events and alignment with stakeholders.
- Responsible for overseeing and understanding the full scope of the event pipeline and goals as it relates to the planning, execution and follow-up ROI.
- Responsible for implementing marketing strategy for post-events (ie. surveys, ROI Partner Stats, etc.)
- Manage platforms in collaboration with Events & Marketing (CVent, other event marketing automation software)
- Other duties as assigned
Reporting Relationships:
- VP, Channel Marketing
- Direct and develop Events Marketing team
- Contact with suppliers, customers, co-workers and executive management
Requirements:
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- Five+ years of Corporate Events experience or equivalent
- Budget management experience
- Incredible Attention to detail
- Highly Organized
- Ability to understand goals and objectives of events as it relates to the “big picture”
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Ability to multi-task
Preferred:
- Experience working with a variety of platforms (Pardot, CVENT, webinar platforms, etc.)
- Management experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for long periods of time.
- Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation at designated company office location during normal business hours designated for this position.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
- Ability to lift 15 pounds.
Compensation:
Base Range : $85000 - $95,000 and total compensation range $105,000 - $120,000
Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
For non-sales roles and sales roles with a variable component, total compensation reflects both a base salary and variable targets.
