About this role
What will you be responsible for?
Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications, the Director of Internal Communications will play a critical role in nurturing a well-informed and aligned workforce at Newmont. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing content and communications strategies to advance Newmont’s business strategy and transformation.

Develop and Implement Internal Communication Strategy:
- Collaborate closely with the business and HR to deliver a comprehensive communications strategy while incorporating global best practices for internal communications
- Use data-driven insights and audience feedback to tailor and deliver communications, helping employees understand the company’s purpose, strategy, values and their role in contributing to company success
- Ensure messaging is clear, consistent and tailored to resonate with a wide range of employees across various levels and geographies
Lead, Manage & Improve Internal Communications:
- Collaborate with colleagues and local teams to design and implement communication campaigns that align with companywide messaging, considering cultural nuances and ensuring consistency across business units. Regularly evaluate the effectively of communication for local audiences
- Develop and maintain clear policies, standards and guidelines for internal communications globally, fostering cohesion and alignment across the company
- Establish communication systems that facilitate ongoing feedback and dialogue, promoting a culture of openness and collaboration
- Establish and implement a comprehensive internal communications measurement framework, including key performance indicators to track reach, adaptation, and content and channel effectiveness
