Grace Covenant Church in Harrisonburg, Virginia, is looking for a Communications Director to join their team. This person will oversee, as well as, provide effective, consistent print and digital communication that is not only content driven but communicates the heart of Grace Covenant Church.

Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Present a unified church identity and message by producing and coordinating all communication
• Serve the Ministry Staff by prompting the “how, when and why” of all church communication
• Develop and lead teams of volunteers gifted in both written and media communications so that flexible and comprehensive coverage of church activity is achieved

SKILLS YOU NEED TO HAVE:

• Committed and growing disciple of Jesus.
• B.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Communications or Graphic Design or comparable experience.
• Demonstrated ability to write, edit or produce a body of work that effectively conveys an idea or concept.
• Technical ability such as basic video editing, making graphics in Canva and/or providing basic tech support to the staff.
• Demonstrated understanding of Digital / Social media communications
• Experience with project scheduling or coordination

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Weekends as needed
