The Director of Financial, Planning and Analysis will be the focal point of understanding and analyzing the PTx Trimble business. To be successful, this role will need to have a level of business understanding equivalent to the General Manager, without the granularity. This position will build a best-in-class financial planning and analysis function within PTx Trimble.
Your Impact
- Provide leadership and direction to the FP&A team, drive the development of complex financial models, and synthesize data into actionable insights that inform company-wide decision-making
- Taking the leadership role in building a team from a group of high performers that currently are individual contributors
- Elevate the position and the FP&A function to be a true business partner to the division’s functional leaders including: General Manager, VP Finance and Business Operations, VP Product Development, VP Engineering, VP Global Sales, Director of HR, VP of Strategic Marketing, VP Autonomy.
- Provide business insights and analytics for critical decision support and lead the long range, annual budget and quarterly forecast process
- Develop and maintain business performance dashboards and reporting as well as departmental budgets, below the functional leader level, that forecast and measure key costs centers such as travel, marcom, NRE, outside consulting, etc.
- Provide key liaison role with PTx Trimble accounting and AGCO FP&A functions
Your Experience and Qualifications
- As an ideal candidate, you'll possess excellent independent business judgment and thrive on engaging with diverse levels and functions across the organization
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a similar role (preferably in a larger technology-related business)
- Strong understanding of GAAP, including accounting for subscription services, professional services engagements, hardware and software
- Proven business modeling and forecasting skills required, including modeling of project-based revenues, recurring subscriptions, and carve-out impacts
- Advanced to expert proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, look-ups, and an ability to quickly ascertain accurate inferences from large data sets
- Advanced to expert proficiency in G-Suite office tools, specifically Google Sheets and experience with creating polished presentations in Google Slides
- Ability to interrogate, analyze, consolidate, and automate the reporting of information from enterprise reporting systems, including data remediation and creation of dashboards
