The Director of Marketing Technology Optimization will lead our consulting efforts in marketing automation and personalization, focusing on enhancing our clients' marketing strategies across all media touchpoints through precise, technology-driven solutions. This role demands a profound understanding of marketing technology (martech) best practices and is largely consultative, while leveraging a portfolio of implementation partners.
This position can be 100% remote with preference to Milwaukee, New York City, and Chicago.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert consultation to clients on marketing automation strategies to ensure alignment with their business objectives across all channels.
- Advise on the selection and integration of marketing automation tools and platforms, emphasizing system capabilities and potential optimizations.
- Maintain a deep understanding of current and emerging martech trends, translating these into actionable insights for both Quad and its clients.
- Manage a network of third-party consultants, ensuring high standards of representation and expertise in specific domains are met and aligned with client needs.
- Work closely with internal teams to facilitate cohesive client strategies and the seamless execution of marketing initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics, offering strategic recommendations to enhance campaign effectiveness and marketing ROI.
Qualifications:
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or an advanced qualification in a relevant field is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years in marketing or a related field, with at least 5 years focused on marketing technology consulting.
- Extensive experience in a senior consultancy role within a marketing agency or similar environment.
- Certification in Marketing Automation platforms such as Adobe, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar is highly advantageous.
- Additional certifications in Project Management (PMP), Customer Experience (CX), or similar, are desirable.
Proven expertise in consulting on marketing automation and personalization across online and offline media. - Strong background in martech consultancy, capable of leading strategic projects and initiatives.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in managing a consultant network or agency partners.
- Thorough knowledge of marketing technology platforms and their strategic application in business.
- Experience managing a community of outsourced vendor partners
- Expertise in various marketing platforms and analytics tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Robust project management skills, with the capability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
