Full Job Description:
One of the main focuses of the Amazon Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) project is to provide tools, resources, and environments that promote healthy, effective and healthy behaviors and encourage employees. to carefully manage their health and well-being. To support this focus, Amazon is looking for a full-time WHS Specialist (WHSS) to be the designated representative for their assigned building, coordinating and implementing all aspects of the global program. of Amazon, as instructed. WHSS promotes a positive culture while adhering to Amazon's values and maintaining a positive work environment. This includes conducting training and coaching partners on observed work habits. WHSS is required to maintain daily, weekly and monthly metrics to report to site management team and company reporting system. WHSS supports management efforts to ensure compliance with company program expectations and applicable federal and state laws. WHSS also conducts risk assessments related to the work carried out (work risk assessment) and the introduction of new equipment. In addition, the WHSS is responsible for supporting the implementation of appropriate risk reduction measures, including ergonomics. Applicant must be willing to work any shift, subject to availability.
Services include, but are not limited to:
Manage accurate daily, weekly and monthly metrics to report to site management team and company reporting system.
Support management efforts to ensure compliance with company program expectations and applicable federal and state laws
Carry out risk analysis related to the work carried out (work risk analysis) and the introduction of new equipment
It is responsible for supporting appropriate risk reduction measures and controls, including ergonomics
Available for shift work including days, nights and/or weekends
Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor's degree or equivalent diploma
A minimum of one year in an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) related field or; Bachelor's degree in EHS or relevant training; 6 months of experience in a security-related role within Amazon
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910
Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel with professional competence
Experience maintaining confidentiality in relation to safety and/or personnel matters in the workplace
