Full Job Description:
This position will perform duties related to employee relations management (ERM) and serve as a workplace manager for employees.
In general, the employee will help:
Create and implement comprehensive company policies to align decisions with company policies, values and culture. Liaison with state and federal regulatory agencies is required.
Improve the user experience by communicating with managers and employees, during critical moments in the work relationship, such as accommodation and concerns, including development, workplace threats, performance management, etc. Connect with key partners across The Walt Disney Company to deliver solutions that drive employee engagement and business results.
Work
Promote employee support by liaising with staff and management of Disney Parks, Experiences and Product Organizations. Conduct timely, objective and thorough internal investigations, including but not limited to allegations of harassment, discrimination, accommodation and retaliation and prepare all required documentation.
Keep complete and accurate records of investigations and timely maintenance of notes and supporting documents in the case management process. Quickly identify, develop and implement tools, resources and solutions that help shape a positive user experience.
Promote knowledge, understanding and compliance with industry policies through lectures, presentations and training. Initiate motivational and strategic planning processes for employee relations by identifying and analyzing ER data/metrics for topics, trends and root cause attributes. Share results with key partners to develop and implement integrated strategies aligned with organizational and human resources strategies, helping to improve company operations and priorities. Interact with customers and executives on performance and management changes.
Performs leadership duties as required. Certification and/or skills required
Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, psychology, sociology, industrial relations or related field and/or work experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an influential leadership or professional level role
A critical thinker, with a proven track record of translating strategic goals/ideas into action plans and implementing performance level plans.
Ability to analyze data, conditions and insights to determine the root cause of the event
Demonstrated observation and/or delivery of various recommendations and participation in solutions
Strong verbal and written communication
Ability to build strong, collaborative and collaborative relationships.
Difficult conflict resolution skills
Art is hard; must be able to confidently advise business leaders or HR/DI partners to improve employee relations and business results based on data and findings.
In-depth knowledge of labor relations, workplace investigations, federal and state laws/regulations (including but not limited to Title VII, ADA, ADAAA, and FMLA)
Ability to manage high competitive demands; prioritizes workload, manages multiple projects and workloads under tight deadlines
The ability to work independently and to be part of a team environment develops excellent and valuable professional relationships with peers, colleagues and work groups.
Ability to handle sensitive situations confidentially and objectively
