Full Job Description:
The External Support Engineer is responsible for assisting and supporting the external content creation team using the tools provided by the internal development team. They are the bridge between the content group and the device engineering group. They are the first point of contact when content teams encounter issues and tools; and analyze problems and responses to a single device.
Main function
Provide technical support to content/output teams regarding use of content tools
Create a reference and provide training to familiarize external teams with the tool
Diagnose and troubleshoot potential problems using tools and workflows to quickly resolve user issues
Raise complex issues or problems with the tool development team and work in production to track these issues in JIRA
Champion tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams
Collaborate with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality
Mentor or lead coaching discussions to drive a plan from initial concept to completion
Demonstrate trust, responsibility and professionalism in all work-related interactions
Skills and abilities
Ability to read and understand C# code
Good written and verbal communication skills, including working with external partners
Good attitude and ability to receive and give objective and constructive feedback
Excellent design skills
Personal motivation; able to prioritize and manage multiple requests simultaneously
Education and experience
Computer Science or related degree, or relevant work experience
Experience supporting live work or device environments
Experience developing games with Unity 3D tools
Experience with Jira, Confluence or other point-of-sale software
Mobile development experience of iOS and Android
5 years of experience delivering production-level code in a professional environment
