Finance Analyst - Chili's Finance

Job Summary
This position will provide medium to complex data insight and financial analysis support on various initiatives on the Chili's brand. This will include supporting various cross functional teams with analysis of impacts on menu trades, pricing, recipe costing & merchandising. The candidate will be responsible for trend analyses, supply chain forecasts, food & beverage forecasts, sales analysis, menu pricing & reporting related to business results. Analyses produced by the candidate will be used to make forward-looking decisions affecting sales, profits, team members, and guests.
Your Key Job Functions
- Support cross-functional RSC departments by performing menu, special feature, and promotional item forecasts. Will also perform guest preference projections, and performance evaluations.
- Provide financial perspective on menu additions and deletions, including recipe costing, menu positioning considerations, pricing recommendations, and risks.
- Perform review and analysis of P&L results vs. expectations and identify operational steps necessary to improve sales and increase profitability.
- Act as a key contact for Chili's Operational and Corporate teams with special requests of analyses which will be instrumental in decisions made to improve operational results.
- Provide analysis, tracking, and reporting of trends in key operating areas with established performance benchmarks.
- Assist in evaluating, designing & measuring brand tests in collaboration with cross functional teams including Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain & EPMO teams.
- Utilize Mastercard/APT advanced software (Test and Learn) to perform benchmarking, test versus control analysis and partner with execution team to ensure accurate test readouts, while providing recommendations based on test results.
- Work with the Chili's Finance Team to provide key insights from data analysis to ensure all programs effectively support brand initiatives.
- Maximize reporting efficiencies & proactively work to streamline reporting to enable timely and effective analysis of results.
- Determine feasibility and/or return on existing programs and proposed programs.
What You Bring to the Team
o Bachelor's Degree (Finance, Business Analytics, Marketing, or Economics).
o MBA a plus.
o 1-3 years related work experience.
o Ability to create intermediate to advanced financial models.
o Restaurant menu, marketing, and culinary finance experience preferred.
o Advanced Excel required.
o Smartview/Essbase and/or Oracle experience preferred.
o Knowledge of other MS Office applications required.
o Tableau experience a plus.
