Full Job Description:
The Walt Disney Company's Financial Management team is looking for a Principal Financial Accounting Analyst (SFAA) who will be a unique addition to our Hulu subscription team. This position will report to the Manager, Financial Accounts and have direct exposure to the General Manager and CEO. This position will support all accounting and financial aspects of Hulu's subscription offerings. The successful person is an entrepreneur who welcomes challenges and also looks for opportunities for efficiency, innovation and process improvement.
Work
Support for Hulu Live TV accounting services and premium subscription offers
Assist with quarterly closing processes related to Hulu subscription offerings, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
Conduct audits and analysis of variances for capital and operational metrics for compliance and departmental and corporate reporting.
Review over-the-air television distribution agreements with Premium Network and prepare license fee calculations and payments required under these agreements.
Understand and improve relationships with business partners
Collaborate with finance, partnerships, legal and technical teams to help implement new business strategies, support deliverables and provide financial reporting to support business needs.
Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in implementation to achieve efficiencies
Maintain an effective internal control environment and update SOX process documentation for all registered accounting systems
Support the review of annual financial statements and internal audits and other contract review periods
Support ad hoc research, special projects and business planning
Basic Qualifications
3 to 5 years of accounting experience required
Strong knowledge of US GAAP
Attention to detail while being able to see the big picture
Strong analytical skills combined with strong business and financial capabilities
Professional in verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
Organized, motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders
