Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Grounds and Waste Management Team Lead. As the team lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of grounds maintenance and waste management to ensure the impeccable appearance and functionality of our community.
Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of groundskeepers and waste management personnel. Assign tasks, schedule work orders, and ensure efficient use of resources. Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to maintain high standards of performance.
- Grounds Maintenance: Design and implement landscaping plans to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the property. Regularly inspect grounds to identify maintenance needs such as lawn care, irrigation, pruning, and planting. Oversee the upkeep of outdoor amenities including pools, playgrounds, and recreational areas. Work closely with contractors to maintain and develop landscaping plans.
- Waste Management: Develop and implement waste management strategies to promote sustainability and cleanliness. Coordinate waste disposal and recycling programs in compliance with local regulations. Monitor waste collection schedules and ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials.
- Equipment and Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of landscaping supplies, tools, and equipment. Coordinate repairs and maintenance of landscaping machinery and vehicles. Ensure that all equipment is operated safely and efficiently.
- Budget Oversight: Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
- Seasonal Responsibilities: Coordinate snow removal for the property. This could require attention outside of business hours as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a related field.
- Previous supervisory or management experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of landscape design principles and horticultural practices.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of waste management regulations and best practices is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
