Overview:
Health Information Manager
HIM - RHIA - RHIT
On-site in Mechanicsburg, PA
Excellent opportunity for an experience HIM professional. This leadership position is responsible for records and data management, and release of information, including management of health information functions to support our Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital division.
Responsibilities:
The Health Information Manager is responsible for the day to day management of the health information staff, including orientation, training, and evaluation of performance. Implementing and ensuring compliance with HIM policies and procedures. Development of educational programs and staff training. Collaborate with leaders to problem solve and ensure productivity and accuracy standards are met. Serve as a subject matter expert for hospital leadership and medical staff on compliant documentation practices. Generating and analyzing management reports.
Qualifications:
We are seeking results-driven team players. Qualified candidates must be detail oriented, organized and results-oriented with a passion for problem solving and training.
Required:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Technology or associated health care field required
- Three (3) to five ((5) years of management experience in a Health Information or other clinical role with knowledge of medical terminology, and the care of treatment of Rehab patients
- Experience with Epic or other electronic health record and other database programs
- Excellent organizational skills, detail orientation, demonstration of the ability to set priorities, with proven problem solving skills. Shows a sense of urgency and confidentiality
- Ability to work and communicate verbally and in writing, effectively, professionally, and respectfully with all members of the hospital, clinical staff, and other internal and external colleagues and customers
- Ability to adapt to regulatory deadlines with changing workload and workflow without an interference to quality of work
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to meet deadlines
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, as well as Zoom
Preferred:
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) preferred
