What will you do
- This is a Virtual Inbound Sales Agent role and during your shift you will be handling inbound sales calls (approximately 40 per day) happily helping customers find and purchase their desired items.
- Your daily schedule is available in our planning system and is designed to allow maximum availability and responsiveness to our customers. Review your schedule at the start of your shift to account for designated daily break times, lunch breaks, team meetings and training.
- Arrive at your shift ready for the day, clock in, log in, and get ready to give customers a top-notch shopping experience.
- To fully assist a customer, you will contact product suppliers for additional information that may not be available on the Wayfair website.
- Follow designated sales process and call flow (probe inquiries, track sale, establish rapport, etc.)
- Think critically about customers' needs and always look for ways to improve their experience by cross-selling or upselling items they may not initially consider will support their primary purchase.
- We are a data-driven company and measure our sales success against a variety of operational metrics. Your compensation will also be tied to these metrics.
- It's important that you can focus on our customers, without distractions, as you work virtually throughout your shift.
- This role requires moderate comfort and skills with technology and multitasking; deliver a top-notch customer experience with every caller, stay ahead of policy and process changes via email or chat channel, address connectivity challenges, unusual customer requests, and more.
- We are a team and expect you to be actively involved in engagement activities, sales competitions and other elements of our culture.
- High season may require adequate hours and/or mandatory overtime.
What you will need
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to think analytically while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- 1+ year sales experience, preferably in a call centre/retail/virtual environment
- High school diploma/GED, college preferred
- Ability to function in a virtual world, comfortable with technology, while maintaining a high level of problem solving skills. Proven verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable learning/using software applications required for the position
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
