If you’re a financial markets enthusiast and a strong communicator, we’re looking for you. We’re seeking an Investment Writer to produce actionable insights that help our clients make better investment decisions. As an Investment Writer, you’ll also help increase brand recognition for American Century.

As part of our Investment Communications team, the Investment Writer works closely with our portfolio teams to create fund commentaries, website articles and thought leadership. The Investment Writer also partners closely with our marketing and sales teams to distribute content to clients globally.

Responsibilities

  • Develop annual content strategy in partnership with investment, marketing and sales teams.
  • Create diverse types of content — short-form digital articles, white papers and presentations— that can be used throughout the client journey.
  • Ensure the content has a strong call to action that’s relevant to the target audience, which includes individual investors, financial advisors and institutional investors.
  • Work with the editorial team to optimize content for search engines.
  • Interact with the compliance team to ensure content contains fair and balanced information for making an investment decision and appropriate disclosures.
  • Communicate the status of projects to stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Three+ years of professional writing experience.
  • BA degree, Journalism or English preferred
  • Exceptional writing and data interpretation skills.
  • Strong interest in economics, financial markets, investment concepts and the asset management industry.
  • Motivated self-starter who takes initiative, conducts research, prioritizes, organizes, follows through and meets deadlines.
  • Intermediate to advanced user of Microsoft 365, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint
