Junior Software Engineer - Hybrid - Bridgewater, New Jersey or Topeka, Kansas
Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the U.S. life and annuities insurance technology and services industry is seeking a Jr. .Net Developer!

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth
- Develop new features and infrastructure development in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements
- Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design
- Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities
- Validate requirements and designs for custom built software projects.
- Work across teams to define, drive, and facilitate the creation and adoption of platform architecture and standards.
- Engage with inspiring designers and front-end engineers, and collaborate with leading back-end engineers as we create reliable APIs
- Collaborate across time zones via MS Teams, GitHub comments, documents, and frequent video conferences
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of software development experience with at least 6+ months of experience in designing Backend/ full stack development
- Graduate degree in technology, business, finance, and accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering
- Experience building web applications
- Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of C / C++ / C# programming language
- Experience with databases such as SQL.
- Excellent debugging and optimization skills
- Unit/integration testing experience
- Expert level experience with cloud technologies preferably AWS
- Excellent work ethic, ability to work and travel independently, and advanced strategic thinking skills.
- Expert level communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills. Expert level troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to influence, lead, and work as part of a cross-functional, global team.
Job Types: Contract, Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
