We are seeking a Lead Machinist to join our growing team!

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced machinist to join our Houston manufacturing team. The Lead Machinist will oversee all aspects of our machining operations, ensuring that production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are followed. This position requires strong leadership abilities, technical expertise in machining processes, problem-solving and a commitment to excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to broaden their expertise and advance within the industry. Set-up, operation, and maintenance of a manual lathe, manual mill, 3-axis CNC mill, and a high precision multi-tasking machining center is just the start. The selected individual will play a pivotal role in the development and roll out of our rapidly growing manufacturing center here in Houston, TX.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of machinists, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
• Set up and operate CNC machines, lathes, mills, and other machining equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines per established maintenance schedule and as required.
• Perform quality checks on finished and in-process parts to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols

Requirements:

• Minimum of [5] years of experience as a machinist, with [3] years in HMLV (high-mix low-volume) production environment
• Familiarity with G and M Code required. Experience with Okuma OSP a plus.
• Experience with 5 axis, Mill-turn, or Multi-tasking machines a plus.
• Proficiency in operating CNC machines, lathes, mills, and other machining equipment
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tooling
• Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and technical specifications (GD&T)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and leadership abilities
• Commitment to safety and quality standards

Previous experience with mechanical seals is required.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
