We are seeking a well-rounded Maintenance Technician to join our Anderson-Negele team at our Fultonville, NY location. The ideal candidate for this role will have strong attention to detail and experience working cross-functionally. This position will perform a wide variety of maintenance and repair of manufacturing assets; troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
Hours for this position are Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm, ideal candidates must be open to occasional overtime, occasional on-call schedule, and seasonal hour's shift.
In this role you will:
- Maintain production and facility equipment in good working condition. Minimize downtime by conducting diagnostics, repairs, and general maintenance
- Perform diagnostics and maintenance on CNC lathes
- Advanced repairing & problem solving of electrical, mechanical, and vacuum related systems
- Problem solving and periodic maintenance on HVAC, air compressors, fire systems, and other building related systems
- General upkeep of interior and exterior of facility, includes painting, occasional ground maintenance, furniture assembly, assist with renovations and reconfiguration of existing equipment
- Conduct all activities and perform all job duties following strict adherence to established safety procedures and OSHA regulations
On your first day, we’ll expect that you’ll have:
- Minimum of (2) years’ facilities and manufacturing maintenance experience. Solid understanding of 3 phase electrical systems, electronic components, CNC, PLC’s, pneumatics, pumps, hydraulics, compressors, and vacuum related systems
- Ability to troubleshoot basic components of CNC machining equipment utilizing machine vendor support. Drives, Motors, Fluid systems, and Electrical
- Demonstrated proficiency with electrical testing tools, hand tools, commonly used industrial fabrication tools, and power tools
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent trade school. Comparable related experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication as well as basic computer skills
- Capacity to work within a team and as an individual contributor to support manufacturing operations
- Solid organizational and follow-up skills, where attention to detail is essential
- Ability to work independently under limited supervision and capable of researching, ordering, and installing repair parts
- The employee must occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds and wear safety glasses for extended periods of time
