This role contributes to the success of Starbucks by managing daily distribution operations. Ensures compliance with quality standards and safety and performance of all distribution programs. Form and act in accordance with Starbucks guidelines.
Summary of main functions:
Leadership- Establishing goals for a project, developing organizational skills, and improving how we work together:
Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and actions to ensure the team's immediate reporting promotes successful behavior, trust in leadership and teamwork to achieve business results.
Supports supervisors, managers and associates in their efforts to improve productivity, communication and morale. Supports the implementation of corporate programs to ensure business success.
Planning and execution - Creating strategic and operational plans for employees, managing implementation and measuring results:
Contributes to the development of annual operating plans and budgets and quarterly forecast updates. Coordinates and manages business unit and department processes and practices to ensure activities are aligned with company business goals and objectives.
Supports, communicates and educates clients and team members about changes in policies and practices within the organization. Job Requirements - Provide service and perform operational duties:
Adheres to established distribution procedures to maintain integrity.
Communicates to management about the team's progress and departmental goals. Facilitates effective and timely communication of company, department and department information to managers, peers and team members, including supervisors, managers and partners.
Ensure compliance with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards and American Institute of Baking and Starbucks standards. Improves workplace safety by solving safety problems quickly and completely.
Develops and implements quality and cost improvement initiatives that are approved and supported by all channel partners. Contributes to the development of effective cost reduction strategies.
Maintains and improves customer service levels for all business units served. Enables clear communication between business units and understanding of new and changing business needs.
Monitors and controls staffing levels, work hours and contributions to achieve annual budget improvement goals
Supports all goals and objectives of the plant and department. Support the development and implementation of programs and processes that contribute to the success of the department and business.
Partner Development and Team Building - Provide partners with training, feedback and development opportunities and build effective teams:
Challenges and motivates partners to achieve business results. Conducts and oversees performance reviews.
Encouraging partner involvement in working groups and generating feedback. Facilitates team member recommendations for cost, quality, efficiency and service improvement.
Ensure partners meet legal and operational compliance requirements. Oversees the training and development of direct and indirect management associates and makes effective personnel decisions.
Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members to achieve results for partners, business and customers.
