To manage GMS Japan business indicators, conduct project status updates and prepare business documents with external/internal information for critical meetings and reports. At American Express, the best expansion of customer coverage is critical to cardholder satisfaction and growing our business. It also gets a discount from the business a lot. GMS Japan ensures that AXP cards can be widely accepted by relying on two customer marketing channels, 1) exclusive sales and 2) strategic partner, JCB. GMS Japan maintains high discount rates by providing our customers with various value propositions through various interventions such as customer service and monitoring, seamless checking, marketing strategies, etc. GMS continues to seek business growth opportunities by leveraging cashless marketing and technology changes. We prioritize developing future opportunities in new areas such as B2B, inbound business and growth segments. The Project Manager will play a key role in managing our business metrics such as P&L, investment, customer coverage by working with multiple central teams in Sydney and the UK. Also supports the GMS Japan management team in developing strategies and updating our senior management programs. Requires a variety of responsibilities including strategic metrics, analytics, business metrics and financial management to ensure GMS International's business goals in Japan.
They will have exceptional thought leadership, strategic thinking and communication skills and demonstrate active leadership behavior within a high performance team environment. The incumbent will play a key role in creating an organization-wide plan to help achieve results. They will be expected to demonstrate leadership in thought and execution. In this key role, the operator will work closely with the various partners to ensure the coordination of the necessary activities. It is very important that this person is a strong relationship builder and works well with others.
Job Description:
Manage P&L by conducting risk and opportunity analysis in collaboration with finance and pricing teams.
Lead investment strategy and manage investment in collaboration with GMS Japan management team throughout the year. Track and report our key business metrics.
Communicate with key stakeholders and create creative and impactful presentations for a variety of audiences (e.g. senior management meetings, town halls with colleagues, partner events, external meetings, etc.)
Serves as the main link and interface for the UK HQ and Sydney team. Collaborate with VP GMS on strategic plans and ongoing initiatives to maximize his time and team performance.
Provide strategic support to GMS Japan colleagues.
