Wayfair is redefining the way people shop for their homes, and our team was tasked with building the first e-commerce business in our Asian market. Externally, we manage relationships with suppliers, collaborate to create e-commerce plans and support manufacturers in their implementation. Internally, we work closely with our functional teams (supply chain, logistics, automation, etc.) and carry out advanced strategies in marketing, sales, pricing and customers, to create results for our brands and suppliers.
We are looking for several senior managers of the ShangHai division to help us grow and grow our Asian market effectively. You'll need to define overall goals and strategies for your team, solve problems, articulate and execute strategic plans, and manage key business metrics. Department managers must be able to communicate effectively internally and externally, as they are effective project managers. What to do:
Manage a portfolio of suppliers from Asia within the team, driving supplier development by setting strategic goals, negotiating business terms and evaluating performance.
Review suppliers and team performance to determine process compliance and strategic planning, including team members performing key functions (e.g. operations)
Interact frequently with existing vendors to optimize performance and key pricing, merchandising, advertising and other Wayfair strategic initiatives. Be a key internal and external liaison, often engaging in discussions with C-suite members of our external partners.
Identify processes, issues and opportunities for a group or part of the supplier, and work with internal teams to drive change.
Manage team members, be able to provide small team members with advice and guidance and lead the team to achieved goals
What you will need
Track record of success in developing team relationships, working collaboratively and communicating in multi-departmental projects.
Analytical mind and data-driven approach: Proven experience working with complex data to develop strong business recommendations
Demonstrated success in building business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Experience conducting successful business negotiations
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid change
The art of solving new problems; expand and identify root causes of problems and implement solutions
Experience in e-commerce or environmental management is an advantage
