As a Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for growing the most important accounts in Walmart's Marketplace business. Strategic Account Management: Act as a consultant/account manager - responsible for growing the business across a portfolio of vendors. Develop strategies with retailers to expand options, improve quality of offerings, and drive operational improvements across their business. Oversee business performance: lead annual and quarterly business planning and sales performance monitoring. Conduct in-depth analysis of issues affecting the salesperson's business performance and implement corrective actions. Work against P&L metrics, including gross sales value (GMV) and contribution margin.
Become a trusted advisor: Develop strong and trusted relationships with partners. Serves as the "quarterback" of the account - works across the organization to solve problems, solve problems and implement growth strategies. Use a "one team" approach to achieve business goals and conduct "win-win" negotiations that build trust and confidence among our partners and deliver ongoing performance. Best Quality Listings: Work directly with sellers to improve their listings, including PDP content, ratings and reviews, shipping speed, and price competition to increase search optimization and chances of discovery on the platform.
Retailer Recruitment Service Adoption: Teach retailers to be successful on the Walmart platform and increase awareness and adoption of retailer growth initiatives, including Walmart Workforce Integration (WFS), Walmart Connect, and others. Developing Strategic Marketing Plans: Develop marketing plans for retailers, including events, site locations, and promotions, to drive traffic and additional GMV.
Cross-functional role: Collaborate with product management, strategy, operations, site, and marketing to deliver the best customer and sales experience. Personal Responsibilities: Will be responsible for managing the above and doing so with minimal supervision from the manager.
