Full Job Description:
This position will be responsible for the primary financial accounting of sellers for the Americas, including seller fees, seller refunds, discounts, among others. Important events include month-end closes, foreclosures and reserve rate reviews. In addition, this position will be responsible for maintaining SOX related procedures, risk analysis, design and effectiveness of internal controls, providing accounting information for project/business start-ups, driving process planning by collaborating with technical, financial and business personnel in short, medium and long-term solutions for automation. In addition, this position will work with the global team to ensure full compliance and coordination of accounting treatments and operational procedures. This position will require a combination of research (or public records/technical) and work skills. The candidate must be responsible for the end-to-end processes to support our technical, financial and business operations, make judgments to improve operations, ensure that the right decisions are made, escalate risks and problems if it is important to the leader. This position will need to manage ambiguity and have the ability to redistribute it based on business needs as they will often need to support multiple tasks at the same time.
This position will be based at Amazon Headquarters in Seattle, WA; Arlington, Virginia; Portland, OR; Los Angeles, CA; Austin, TX; Nashville, TN; or Boston, MA. Main functions
* Support all aspects of our accounting and reporting processes.
* Having an end-to-end system to support financial and business partners. * Understand internal control design concepts to assess the effectiveness of controls and design effective new systems and controls for emerging and growing business programs.
* Make decisions and ensure that the right decisions are made to accurately report financial results. * Car service, provide accounting advice and serve as the first point of contact for finance and business partners to resolve issues.
* Dealing with ambiguity and the ability to reprioritize based on multiple business needs. * Prioritize work when providing training to a skilled team.

8+ years of experience in tax, finance or related audit area
