Location: Remote with requirement to travel for business needs. East or Central Coast Preferred.
Basic Purpose:
The National Account Manager, Drug & Special Markets, leads the creation, alignment, and successful execution of customer business plans for the channel nationally under the Away from Home & Small Format division. A successful candidate will fully utilize the resources of the enterprise (company + agency partners) to accelerate profitable growth through distribution, pricing, sales, share, in addition to experience and passion for ‘how might we'. The candidate will bring an entrepreneurial spirit to these incremental channels, aligned with the ‘Hain Reimagined' objectives & goals for transformational growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for delivering volume, distribution, trade, share and profit goals/objectives for the Convenience channel.
- Leads the creation, alignment & execution of customer business plans to accelerate profitable grow
- Manages agency partners to drive alignment, priorities & to execute best in class segment plans with excellence.
- Partners effectively with cross-functional stakeholders in Away From Home & Small Format (Trade Marketing, Commercial Strategy, Finance, Supply Chain, and Brands) and across the company to deliver consistently strong results.
- Manages the trade investments systems, forecast, insights, and budgets to maximize execution & results.
- Assists with other projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum five years' experience in a Sales capacity within a Consumer Packaged Goods Company, Distributor or Broker Network environment or related role, specifically in the Drug or Special Markets channel.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees agency partners assigned to this Channel
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Leadership presence with Drug or Special Markets channel experience and strong command of the business for major retailers within Drug (CVS, Walgreen's, Rite Aid) and Special Markets (i.e. OfficeMax, Old Navy, Dick's Sporting, etc.).
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple dynamics, and strong attention to detail
- Experience designing and executing Drug or Special Markets promotions
- Ability to lead change and execute on strategic direction
- Strong negotiation skills and experience
- Financial acumen related to trade design and management within a budget
- Strategic and infinite mindset with a ‘soul of a start-up'
- Self-motivated and strong analytical / problem-solving skills
- Highly collaborative and able to thrive in a matrixed environment across all levels, all functions
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal/writing) effectively and succinctly
- Conflict resolution skills that drives alignment and clear action steps
- Ability to interpret account specific data

- Ability to travel to customers and industry events – estimated 25%
- Disposition which empowers, motivates, and inspires the team
- Bachelor's degree in Business, marketing or equivalent
- Strong proficiency in Power Point and Excel
- Reports to the Senior Director of Small Format
Preferred Location:
Central to Eastern US
