Job Summary

CenterPoint Energy is looking for an Associate Marketing Consultant to join our Louisiana & Mississippi Gas Team, located in Bogalusa, LA and Opelousas, LA. The selected candidate will report out of Bogalusa and service both territories.

You will have the ability to: meet with builders, developers, and customers to coordinate actions required to provide gas service. Initiate and develop opportunities for gas sales, and represent the company on gas service, billing and other customer account issues.

Essential Functions

• Develop a network of relationships with commercial and residential developers, builders, architect, engineers, trade allies and city officials to build customer loyalty and influence customer energy choice.
• Engage in activities and speaking engagements at trade and business associations and civic groups.
• Prepare financial analysis to evaluate the feasibility and cost for adding customers.
• Monitor construction process and serve as liaison between customer and Operations to ensure timely completion of work.
• Coordinate and prepare customer proposals such as Pre-Development Contracts and correspondence and invoices for Contribution in Aid of Construction.
• Initiate and develop opportunities for gas sales and establishes leads for successful market-driven activities to educate and promote the use of appropriate gas end-use technologies to targeted customers.
• Develop relationships with community and civic leaders so that CNP Gas is regarded as a partner.
• Verify equipment type, size, and location. Mark the location of proposed facilities for construction forces where appropriate.
• Prepare client presentations and departmental reports
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Description

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field or five (5) years of gas field operations experience.

Experience

Five (5) years of gas operations field experience.
