We are actively seeking an experienced Network Administrator.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: To ensure the integrity and safety of the information contained within corporate data systems, and to ensure secure access to that information.
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Manage servers; including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software. Perform system backups and recovery.
- Manage security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems using strong knowledge of Cybersecurity risks, tools and remediation processes
- Maintain, install and provide technical support for all network servers, switches, routers, firewalls and storage devices.
- Level 2/3 help desk support.
- Support and maintain Exchange 2013, email archiver, anti-virus, anti-spam filtering and enterprise backup software.
- Support and maintain multiple VOIP phone systems.
- Manage physical and virtual Windows and Linux server environment including VMWare configuration and administration.
- Monitor systems overall performance, monitor/manage email, manage web servers/blogs, and install/configure operating systems and applications.
- Define and advocate "best practices" regarding security of data and systems.
- Assist with the implementation of said policies, procedures, and practices.
- Perform risk analysis of new technologies.
- Develop procedures to handle crisis situations.
- Perform forensic analysis and coordinate investigations with law enforcement agencies.
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION PREFERRED/SPECIAL NOTES:
- Bachelor's degree in I.T. / Computer Science or a two-year technical degree with equivalent work experience. GIAC certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED/SPECIAL NOTES:
- Must possess good interpersonal and formal communication skills. Must possess the ability to interact with various department heads while in the performance of documenting and implementing network/security policies.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Extended periods of sitting required, along with occasional bending and kneeling required. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand and walk.
