Full Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced payroll professional to join our Tesla team. You will be responsible for managing the payroll of over 45,000 employees in the United States, Canada, Mexico and India. Performs tasks that require an understanding of company policies, procedures and processes with a customer service focus.
What to do
Process multi-state and international weekly and biweekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees and ensure accuracy of global employee data. Process, adjust, open, balance, review, close and complete all payment processes in a single environment.
Process and peer review employee payroll data, wages and hours. View and adjust wages and hours from the Kronos and UltiPro systems.
Calculate and organize time sheets and maintenance. Maintaining process records, including setting up new payroll, tax form processing, time entry, profit creation, termination, garnishment and other services.
Review the manual that ended the cycle. Properly process lost and dismissed employees in accordance with state law. Understand and reduce penalties. Arrange cancellation, cancellation and replacement payments. Download the relevant bank file. Help employees and managers resolve time and attendance issues.
Conduct research and analysis to assist the department supervisor in special projects. Review and respond to tickets, phone calls, emails and messages in a timely manner.
Administrative duties include filing, reporting, record keeping and communications. Build and maintain close relationships with human resources by assisting them with payment requests.
Define pay policies and procedures for company employees at all levels. Create and manage company team relationships.
Review and process unpaid checks for escheat complaint purposes.
What to bring
Bachelor's degree or CPP (paid professional) preferred.
Strong Excel skills are required. Advanced understanding of systems and their interfaces.
Exposure to high volume business and multitasking work environments is required. Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written skills required.
Attention to detail. Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect inconsistencies in data.
Ability to work with minimal supervision. Experience in audit, tax and accounting systems preferred.
Understand how to interpret company policies and procedures. Knowledge of the role of many states to pay for the environment.
Use spelling, grammar and punctuation to communicate information. Principles of planning and organizing work.
