MEDICAL OFFICE MANAGER

Bright Future Pediatrics is a fast-paced pediatric practice in Camden, DE and we are looking for a full-time Office Manager to join our team!

Job Description

This position reports directly to the Practice Manager and responsibilities include but are not limited to overseeing the daily operation of the practice and supervising 15+ employees including front desk receptionists, medical assistants and support staff:

  • Manage work load, staff productivity, patient flow and adjust schedules to respond to both daily and seasonal demands;
  • Function as problem solver who is able to prioritize and think creatively;
  • Provide world-class customer service;
  • Maintain a strong team-oriented ‘can-do’ attitude;
  • Troubleshoot when there is a complaint and develop process improvements to prevent recurrences;
  • Provide timely performance evaluations of the staff;
  • Address performance issues on a timely basis using progressive discipline as needed.
  • Screen and interview qualified candidates for open positions;
  • On-board and assign trainers to new hires. Provide increased supervision during the probationary period to ensure each required task is performed according to the procedures and the quality standards of the practice;
  • Oversee and maintain office equipment and programs for uninterrupted function;
  • Organize department meetings;
  • Manage/conduct special projects and studies as directed by Practice Manager.

Requirements

  • Over 3 years office management experience in the healthcare industry preferred;
  • Strong interest in healthcare management as a career;
  • Strong time-management and people skills;
  • Must be able to multitask and be flexible;
  • Advanced computer skills; experience with online platforms and an aptitude to learn new software and systems;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and experience with electronic health systems;
  • Must pass background check, drug test, DiSC assessment, work history verification and reference check
